Health Award 2019
Health Newspaper (Swastha Khabar Patrika) select best health worker each year for health award, based on his or her contribution in rural health service. This year too, an annual health award ceremony was held on 4 September 2019, sponsored by National Health Magazine “Swastha Khabar Patrika” in order to recognize the contribution of people in specific areas of health.
Mr. Rajan Thapa-Auxiliary Health Worker of Bongadovan health post, received the Health Award 2019 under the category-Best Paramedic, honoring his remarkable contribution to health sector through exemplary execution of his duties as a paramedic and the support he provided in establishing a model health post in Bongadovan health post located in Tamankhola of Baglung district.
Speaking at the function, Mr. Thapa shared,” It was the continuous support received from various sectors including FAIRMED Foundation Nepal, that I was able to contribute something in the health sector. He further commented “without the support from FAIRMED, I would not have made a model health post in rural part of Baglung district and would not have been rewarded”.
FAIRMED has been implementing Rural health improvement project (RHIP) since July 2018 in Tamankhola rural municipality of Baglung in partnership with BYC Baglung. The funding support is from PORISTES foundation, Switzerland
