Orientation to local government authorities of Sammarimai Rural Municipality
EHP in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development, Province-5 organized two-days program from Jan 29-30, 2020 to orient authorities of Sammarimai rural municipality and its ward offices in Rupandehi on the concept of basic health including various health programs/services and to enhance their skill in health planning and budgeting for developing evidence-driven Annual Health Plan.
The training was facilitated by Mr. Sailendra Pandey (HED officer, MoSD-Province-5) which saw a total attendance of 24 local government authorities including the mayor, deputy mayor, ward chairs, health coordinator and health facility in-charges of the municipality. This event has helped participants to develop a Municipal Annual Health Plan by reviewing the current status of major health indicators and gaps/challenges present in various building blocks of the local health system.
